Dr Akira graduated from Imperial College London and became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK) after completing his psychiatry training at the prestigious Maudsley Training Program in South London. After many years working for the NHS in busy London hospitals he relocated to Perth during the pandemic and became a fellow of the RANZCP. His special interest is Eating Disorders and he has extensive experience with mood and anxiety disorders.
Fees
Below are example of typical fees. Please note that fees may vary depending on times, complexity and services provided. Rebates are shown at 85% Medicare fees where applicable. Patients will usually require a referral from a GP to be eligible for Medicare Rebates. Please check with your insurance provider regarding gap fees, however this is often not applicable. We understand that plans change and things need to be rescheduled. Please provide 24 hours notice for cancellation otherwise a flat fee of $100+GST will be charged. There will be a full charge for a no show and this is not rebatable by Medicare. Some long assessments may require a deposit prior to your appointment. Specialist assessments may incur additional fees, this will be explained prior to the appointment.
